In the parable the master keeps pouring the tea, even as it overflows and spills on the floor. The student eventually asks him what he doing—can he not see that this cup is already full? ‘So too,’ responds the master, ‘is your mind. It is too full of knowledge, and you are too full of yourself. There is no room in you to learn anything new.’
